A Day To Save Lives
A Day To Save Lives
Waking my eyes up,
Amidst the hazy winter morning,
Putting the buckles on my knees
To enter in transit of life and death
Without a hideous warning.
The terrain of wince as I entered the
hospital,
The blink of disdain on thy frightened eyes gaping the citadel
The consent taken for the unexpected
As anesthetist, work against the expected.
Through the ink of cardiopulmonary support
We write the lives of those with their breaths in dearth,
The triumph of getting the heart rate back,
Is when our lives seem worthful than an enact.
