I am a little Beggar girl; both my parents are dead,
I’ve no one to give me food or a morsel of dry bread,
Who can feel my hunger pangs, when I double up in pain?
Who's there when I contort and writhe, my sobs are in vain!
I have no home to call my own; I wander here and there.
I’ve no bed to lay my head; my feet are sore and bare.
My torn and threadbare clothes my body cannot cover,
I have no jazzy Jacuzzi where I may get a shower.
You can't imagine my suffering unless you’ve also felt the pain-
To be without shelter in scorching heat and torrential rain!
I am just a little beggar girl-of no importance might be true!
So you sneer at me and shun me, alas to care are very few!
