THE 6th STAGE OF LIFE

NARRATOR- Among the 7 stages of our life, the 6th stage which is the most relaxing stage is known as the Retired stage. We may also call this stage, the grandparents stage. Many people in this stage may develop childish behaviour.

As people grow older they need a special care. They seek a separate corner to recall their memories. Often they sit and count their days. And sometimes they just smile and laugh with their memories of childhood. They are like newborn kids who need love, care, pamper and lots of space for their own life.

Our main protagonist William is referring to himself as an old retired person.

STORY BEGINS-

Sometimes he thinks of himself. The man who was working as a soldier is sitting now and relaxing in the warm rays of the sun in the winter's chill. He recalls his young age which was full of challenges. But he enjoyed his profession. He was so energetic at that time. When he was relaxing in the warm sun he started remembering his love and wished that she could be with him now. He wished that he should be with his wife when she was taking her last breath. Now when he had time for himself. Her love is not with him. He wished that she could see their child grow and settle with her family abroad. He told her not to worry about him. Last month her daughter had come to meet him. He says that you know that a Granddaughter is just like our daughter was in childhood. After that he closed the diary wishing that her love could get his message.

Today his college friends are coming to meet him.

After some time our protagonist friends have arrived.

His three friends came to meet him, Ana Michael and Kira.

Everyone gathered around the living hall. And just start talking to each other about their college days. After that Ana told everyone about the college reunion. That will be held this Saturday. She requested everyone to come. After that everyone left.

After that our protagonist tell about his friends to his wife in the diary which he kept for her.

He says that you know all my friends came today to meet me. And we just laugh and talk about our college. It was nice to meet them after a long time. He wishes that she could be with him and meet everyone. He tells that my life is just about to end. I hope my children will remember us. He said to his wife that he will meet her soon.
