Thank God

Thank God for music,

Laughter, friends and rain,

For the love that we feel,

And the human brain!

For the snow upon the lakes,

And the sound of temple bells,

For warmth of coal fires,

And the fear of hell.

Thank God for Einstein,

Liz Taylor and Brahms,

For the colours of the rainbow,

And the sheep in the farms.

thank God for the moon

the Sun and the stars

for the greenery around

and the smell of fresh flowers.

Thank God for these gifts,

For the grief and the pain,

For the wisdom and the power,

And this life that I've gained.
