The Wind in a Frolic

The Wind in a Frolic

I walked through my garden

in the late evening sun

I watched the daffodils a swaying

and the wind enjoying the fun.

I almost laughed aloud

to see it as it pranced

It picked a pretty buttercup

and had a twilight dance.

The wind was in a happy mood

it made the garden sway

It whistled through the branches

and kissed the trees good day

For all the wealth and treasure

I wouldn't miss a day

To stroll around my garden

to see the Wind and flowers play.
