You can take away my life

And make me your wife,

You can take away my job

You can lock the door knob.

You can take away my chance

At being me,

I have you in my trance

But you are who you what to be.

It’s a bit peculiar

But so is the fact,

That you named me your junior

Even though we had an equality pact.

But now you think

I should be free,

You pretend with no blink

But I know you don’t want it to be.

I don’t need

For you to fake fight,

I won’t plead

For my birthrights.

So, you can punish

And take away all I love,

But you can’t diminish
