Sunset and Sunrise
Sunset and Sunrise
It's an evening to remember;
We watch the setting sun.
Fingers intertwined,
Your hand in mine,
Like we'd never let go.
Hesitant to part ways,
Reluctant to loosen
Our grip on love
Yet insistent on departing,
For I'm afraid of the night
And you will not walk me home
In the morning.
It's an evening to remember,
And the sky is changing color
Yellow, Crimson, Orange, Red,
And soon a deep dark black;
A fear, better faced alone
To confront and fight,
Destroy and unite,
When we meet tomorrow,
In thoughts and words,
Once again, at sun rise!
