Summer Rain
Summer Rain

Wasn’t it just yesterday,
with the warm wind in your hair;
a flowing river of silk and sweet cocoa.
Wasn't it just yesterday,
your lips a translucence of amber;
smiling down at my burnished bouquet.
Wasn’t it just yesterday,
our laughter a resplendence;
like million dancing sunflowers.
Wasn't it just yesterday,
our love an ebullience;
of sun kissed farms of golden wheat.
Then why today,
kissing our last goodbye;
I stand alone in this cold summer rain.
