Stop Acid Attacks
Stop Acid Attacks
He threw acid on her face,
Not on her dream and confidence.
She could bear the burning sensation,
But not society's allegation.
People laughed at her, mocked at her, she didn't care
But when it came to family she couldn't bear.
She was a victim but treated as if she is culprit,
Is it written in any manuscript?
She tried to commit suicide thrice,
She could barely eat a handful of rice.
From the day she saw her burned face,
She started hating herself.
The real culprit was not behind the bars,
She used to think daily about this for hours.
She was no more a free bird,
That's all she could hear.
She was never allowed to express her views,
She said no to him and her life was sued.
