Star-like

I feel like a star sometimes

There’s billions people around me

But there too far to reach

And I’m not capable of trying to speak

Knowing I’m going to die one day

Always shining

Trying to give my best

Showing them the glow, I give off

Reaching for a standard

of Trying to be the greatest

I won’t give my best till I die

When I light up they’ll see my Beauty

They see how my soul shines

Then I’ll die

And they move on

When there’s nothing left

But a hollow husk of what I was

Sometimes they remember but not always

They’ll talk about me

When everything Is said and done

Remembering what I was like
