Spice It Up!

A bit of cumin here,

A pinch of coriander there,

Are sometimes all you need,

For your dish to exceed.

The aroma of bay leaf,

Provides such a relief,

In times when food is bland.

Sigh! Our wishes are grand.

And did I forget salt?

Without it, the taste would revolt.

No matter if it's mom-in-law or mom,

Everyone's favorite is cardamom!

And then there is powdery chili,

But apply little of it, silly!

For it can make you sweat,

And can get your eyes wet.

And then there are some seeds,

And some weeds,

I tend to forget the name,

But that hardly reduces their fame!

Wait, let me again remember,

Oh yes, cinnamon garlic ginger,

How could I forget these!

So many times they had me say cheese!

As I sit writing this,

A pressure cooker incessantly whistles,

Reminding me of the need,

To pull up its lid!

So I stop here!
