It's In Our Hands

I woke up to the soft glimmer ,

Of the rising sun,

Ready to get set for the daily run ,

Through the narrow winding,

In the woods near the town,

Soaking up the air between the greens & browns,

Plucking some reds and yellows,

Listening to the Birds and their mellows..

And just then..

There was a bang!

I woke up in shock..

No sight of the rising sun,

The woods..all gone fray,

Everything looked black and grey.

Outside my window,

Were the puffs of smoke & dust,

Greens, browns, yellows..all had gone bust

Alas, the reality had dawned..

But, the Dream needs to be the Reality.

The Nature needs to be back,

with all it's shimmer, beat the brutality,

& save our land.

After all.. this is in our hands..
