She Knew

She knew forever doesn't exist,

She knew dusk till dawn is in vain,

She knew it was slipping away like a hand full of sand,

She knew it was passing by like someone just set the 10x fast forward,

She knew it was probably the last time, she was with him.

She wanted to keep him safe and sound like a tiny Pearl in a big shell.

She felt like going away from the glowing sky,

She wanted to scream, cry and ask him to stay,

But all she said is "BYE", widening her eyes so that no one would know that she was grieving.
