Serenity within

What is royalty

But just being to yourself?

Lost in your surroundings,

Lost in your thoughts,

The tranquility kills your overworked mind,

The peace it gives so that you no longer mind your mind.

The pond, the flowers, all in those moments stand still,

As if to want me to feel the serenity therein.

Nothing compels me to move away,

Something impels me not to let my eyes stray.

Away from the deafening roars of my thoughts,

Away from the melee of people,

I sit in companionable silence

Beside the pool of calmness.

Now I have learnt to find my serenity within!
