Sending Daisies
Sending Daisies
Compared amongst the famous flower gardens
I'm nothing but a daisy, such kind you've never seen.
Only few petals were plucked out of me
for who am I to be picked
without such outstanding beauty.
Though every season passed
I remained still on the ground
with no more than withering petals
and leaves that have dried.
And if you would try
to search for me in flower shops
Darling I am telling you once again
I am no sunflowers and roses.
Yet you shush me with whispers —
You are beyond bouquets and flower gardens
For you're the most beautiful daisy I have ever seen.
