rorriM Mirror

Sunken eyes outlined with shadows,
Crimson red lips set apart slightly.
Eyes drooping; too tired,
All my demons held in politely.
My reflection stares back at me,
Barely seeming what it should.
I wonder what's on the other side;
I wonder if it’s bad or good.
My fingers touch cold glass
My tips almost breaking in,
And just when I open my eyes
I feel something shift within.
On the other side at last.
People said it would be opposite from reality
But in fact,
It’s empty.
Not a single soul in sight,
No one to touch or see,
With a sickly smile,
I let my demons envelope me.
