Reflection
Reflection
Reflection is a thought or writing about
something, particular in the past,
or what one sees when looking
into a mirror or body of water.
An example of reflection is an
article written by an author
discussing how he feels
he has grown in the past year
in his writing style.
Seeing one's own image in water
or in a mirror is the reflection of
one's body, however the real reflection
is knowing thy self i. e. self-realisation.
The language that we speak,
our style, mannerisms, all are
the reflection of ourselves.
As you are reflecting on your actions,
you might find flaws and mistakes,
and when you find these flaws,
it gets pretty easy to blame yourself.
It takes a lot of courage to accept
your flaws and to start working
on them determinedly,
but this is what reflection is all about.
Working on yourself and constantly
being your own (constructive) critic
is vital for overall growth.
Knowing one's own self or
self-knowledge is the start of
real wisdom.
Reflective thinking transforms
experience and gives the capacity to
gain an accurate and deep
understanding of someone or
something.
