Rainy Feelings

   

It is raining cats and dogs outside

Igniting my poetic passion inside, 

Making me romantic.

When I see rain falls on hills, trees all around, my heart is on cloud nine.

Like love, rain affects all equally

Frog sings in ecstasy, peacock dances to woo his sweetheart.

Farmers work in the fields and sing in elation.

Butterflies and dragonflies play cheerfully in the air.

Hibiscus, jasmine, lotus, gulmohar

Attract romantic hearts.

Heart wants to be with my Juliet

And enjoy the pleasure of falling pearls.

In the night crickets produce stridulation in chorus

And fireflies adorn big trees 

With their dazzling lights.

All welcome rain after withstanding scorching heat of summer but none is concerned to conserve rainwater.

Nobody is careful to expand the vegetation to entice the monsoon.

Nature is beautiful, it is God's gift to us, so love nature, be with nature.

Let's enjoy the music and soothing effects of nature.
