Rainy day
Rainy day
The sun was up,
But the spirit was low
Sky was cloudy and
Wind had a greater flow.
Suddenly out of nowhere,
Clouds arrived.
The Sun was under its blanket
And tiny drops poured from the sky.
Piter-patter it sounded
When it fell on the roof,
The busy road suddenly
Became aloof.
The trees swayed
From side to side,
And in the branches,
The birds were trying to hide.
The rain slowly increased
Its force.
And the wind increased
Its velocity.
The windows banged,
As the rain lashed upon it,
The current became off
And candles were only respite.
All this was accompanied
By thunder and lightning
Fear in the children's eyes,
It did bring.
This was not a full stop,
It was just a comma,
Only God knew what
Would happen next.
But as thought and said,
Next day the clouds disappeared
And a beautiful rainbow
Next to the Sun, appeared.
