Simple past or Past Indefinite

An event of a recent past is needed to describe,

Simple past is only the tense no other can  revive.

Subject added to second form of the verb,

Gives the complete sense of past superb.

Did is used as the helping verb,

When an integrative sentence needs to serve,

the verb takes again the form it's first,

although the sentence compromises the time past.

Without the object, tense is nothing,

So add it, to make the sense something.
