There behind our Chachaji's pride?

Isn't the unity in diversity of our nation,

Because of the brave endeavours of our Iron man?

Isn't the dwindle in poverty,

The outcome of Lal Bahadhur Shastry's honesty?

Isn't India's fierce rising high,

The reverberation of Jhansi's queen Rani Laxmi Bai?

Isn't the swaraj of our nation

The upshot of our beloved Lokmanya Tilak's rebellion?

Hasn't the freedom fight been revolutionary,

The out-turn of Lal, Punjab Kesari?

Isn't the end of British colonialism,

The result of Dadabai Naroji's criticism?

Every Indian's peaceful sleep in the nights

Is the result of sleepless work of every soldier.

The brave movements by our freedom fighters 

Have given us strong governance, a strong nation,

The strength in unity that can never be faded.

What made them do so? 

What is making us respect our national flag?

What is making every Indian stand proud when India wins?

What is making us stand with respect 

Every time we hear our national anthem?

What is making every Indian stand together 

To fight for the nation?

What? 

The strong answer that lies behind all these questions 

Is a very powerful word PATRIOTISM.

Until patriotism lies in every Indian's heart,

India stands proud among all the nations of the world.
