Our Hardworking Teachers

One who teaches, helps and gives, is a teacher,

And a teacher can be anyone with this feature,

Then be it father, mother, teachers in school,

Or just a friend who won’t let you be a fool.

A teacher is ready to accept students. In the way same,

The word 'teacher' accepted all those who came.

And now, it has a jolly vast definition,

Only school teachers are teachers, it’s a superstition.

They’re helping us in these tough times,

They’re giving us courage to be all smiles.

Some are giving us online education,

Others are helping through life’s examination.

We thank 'em only on Guru Purnima and Teachers’ Day,

And on other days, put their value at bay.

I think, each day, thank them, we must,

Only then, to their givings, we can be just.

We can try our best, and thank 'em all we may,

But we’ll be able to pay out their debt only that day,

When we help, give and teach a person another,

And continue that chain of kindness with every other.
