Old Pair Of Jeans
Old Pair Of Jeans

Have you seen it recently? I haven’t
I might have left it behind at my messy home
When I stepped out, with a spritz of cologne
My hair and ego, neatly combed
To deal maturely with the stubborn morons.
Just so there is amity.
Have you seen it recently? I haven’t
Maybe I left it under the crumpled pillow
Before sunlight came through my window
To quietly tend to the daily chores
Although I was mostly tired and sore.
Just so things go on smoothly.
Have you seen it recently? I haven’t
I once remember tucking it under my long sleeve
Or is it locked in a calcium chest, it wanted to leave
To endure the nimble stories they weave
Although I craved for some reprieve.
Just so ther
e is civility.
Have you seen it recently? I haven’t
Perhaps I crushed it under my dancing shoes
When I joined the party in the cruise
Lest I give away some quick clues
Of the non-biodegradable bruise
Just so there is anonymity.
Have you seen it recently? I haven’t
It maybe in my nontransparent tote
Or is it covered under by abundant coat
As I set sail on the life boat
And grasped at the straws to stay afloat
Just so there is some continuity.
Have you seen them recently?
These tiny chips or scraps of me
If ever you every happen to sight them
Don’t bring them, only you are welcome
I have snugly fit into this humdrum.
Like a comfortable pair of old jeans.
