Like it has been embraced

Not even by a lunatic.

 

Let the sunshine of the east

Glance off the fervour

That ignites our identities.

 

Let not the mortality of skin

Perish into the graves ploughed

By vulnerability of content.

 

Let go of the shackles of resistance

And barter for the glories

That lay beyond adversities.

 

Let us fly into the infinite skies

Like gulls flying high

For the very first time-

 

And defeat with resilience

The unfructuous regrets,

Seizing our own certainties.
