Oblivion
Oblivion
When the road you take
Is the one in prejudice,
When it's tied with your ego
And bereft of justice.
When you see what you want
What you think is right,
When your thoughts are just for yourself
When you see injustice you prefer flight.
When your love is conditional
And you're blind to sacrifice,
I bet you won't see this darkness
How this oblivion would entice.
You would avoid acknowledging
The dark in which
you fell,
No matter who tries
When you become comfortable in your cell.
It's then you should know
That you're living in oblivion!
The darkness has succeeded
To sting you like a scorpion!
There's a way but just one
To save yourself from the fall,
Only if you devote yourself
To love one and all.
No judgment should be there
Indifference should thrive.
Only then could you expect
To escape the darkness alive!
