O! Mother...
O! Mother...
As the breeze entices me
To a deep dreamless slumber
I travel back, to the dawn,
Of my life, the ones I remember.
Must have been a tough winter,
The one I spent unborn,
Waiting for the cold days to go,
As you carried me, in womb.
The spring came and so did I,
Learning to grow my roots,
Cheering with baby leaves,
Clinging on your nurturing breasts.
I remember, the thunder was loud,
My weak branches shivered,
But you always would cover me,
In the gentle arms of yours.
You know, I have grown young,
Yet you do care, more than me,
To make sure that the autumn,
Is not harsher than it has to be.
When come the winter again,
I can only pray, to keep you,
By my side, for with your love,
I know, the spring has to return.
