NORMAL SITUATIONS
NORMAL SITUATIONS
You walk down those halls,
Wearing those shorts,
They stare at you as if it’s odd,
And make you feel like it’s your fault.
You graduate with an honest degree,
But still, they ask, “Can you really teach?”
Even after proving it,
You get much lesser salary.
So in a world ruled by patriarchy,
I still seem to question,
Where one get the audacity,
To say now we do not need feminism.
They call her lucky,
Mainly because her husband cooks frequently,
Told her she landed a diamond,
She chuckled knowing it was the bare minimum.
She went through the worst for nine months,
And yet, never complained even once,
But when finally delivered the baby,
They give the kid the father’s identity.
So in a world still ruled by Patriarchy,
I want to influence one thing only,
Something society will find triggering,
And that is, smashing the Patriarchy sweetie.
