My Silent Sermon

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek,

To be consoled as much to console others,

To be loved as much to love others,

To be understood as much to understand others!

For it is in giving that we receive,

It is in pardoning others that we are pardoned,

It is in dying for others that we are born to eternal life!

O Lord, give me the wisdom and platform to serve humanity,

And make me the instrument of their peace and happiness!
