My Ride in the Time Machine

Once I stepped into a time machine, 

And it took me away... 

To those scientific revolutions in history, 

Which we read in books even today. 

I fastened my seat belt, 

And I was excited about this journey, 

The time machine rode so fast, 

I was taken to the past in a jiffy. 

It was a park filled with greenery, 

Amidst the beauty, 

A young man sat under a tree so lonely, 

I thought of giving him company. 

But just then, an apple fell on the ground, 

It made him surprised and twisted his mind, 

It was then I realized that I was in front of the great scientist, 

Isaac Newton, who discovered gravity! 

Then I realized that if we look up at the tiny things around us, 

We can still find great mysteries unsolved. 

Then the time machine geared up, 

Took me to another place in history, 

Where two men worked hard to get their structure to the sky, 

To make it hover and fly. 

They worked hard night and day, 

Finally, their dreams made way, 

They saw their flight soar high, 

They were no one but the Wright, 

Who invented the world's First Flight. 

Then I was taken to another moment from the past, 

Where I saw Raman discover different colors of light, 

Research why the oceans are blue and bright, 

He brought Raman Effect to everyone's sight. 

Then I came across Edison, 

Who invented and popularised the telephone for communication, 

Who also made the X-Ray invention,

He still inspires the future generation. 

I then set out to return with a new goal to achieve, 

With new values to inculcate, 

With new dreams and hopes in life, 

To build a future that will shine! 

I now await my ride to the future, 

A new experience, 

A spectacle to look at with pride, 

A world of new creation where I shall reside.
