My Friend Sun

My heart grins,

When the sun arrives

Cheering everyone up,

Bringing things back to life.

I can always feel,

The warmth of his smile

Though he may be far away,

Probably many miles.

There is a spring in every step of mine,

And a song in my heart

As he appears before me,

Bright and radiant, symbolic of a new start.

He stays with me,

All-day long

And disappear in the amethyst,

Promising to come the next day

To give me a new zest.
