My First Cake!

It was a special day

And I had something to make

Nothing more I could think of

Other than baking a cake!

I stocked up the ingredients

And whisked them up gently;

Being it my first time

I had to re-check them intently 

I had no mould,

I had no microwave,

All I knew was to pressure cook

Being a naive

I greased the bowl

And poured the batter

Waiting with patience

Was an important matter

It was 40 minutes past

I had to make it fast

I gently opened the lid

To smell the aroma that slid

It was now time to cut the cake

Anxious wait after all the action

One such comment I got for my bake

"Why don't you take this as a Profession?"

That was my first experience with baking
