My clasp of love
My clasp of love
My definition of love was so limited,
A gentle feeling, fragile and small;
Like petals drifting through a quiet breeze,
Beautiful, yet uncertain of where they would fall.
Then I met you.
And suddenly the world grew wider,
We crossed dense forests wrapped in emerald shade
To find waterfalls hidden from the crowd;
We climbed the hills before the break of dawn,
Where sunrise painted gold upon the clouds.
We listened to the music of melting glaciers,
Silver rivers singing as they flowed;
Yet every wonder the earth could offer
Fell silent beside the smile you showed.
You became my favorite season,
The calm within my restless sea;
The moonlight resting on dark waters,
Your presence is a gentle alchemy,
Turning ordinary moments into home.
Your gentle hand awakened all my soul,
Like coffee mingled sweet with warming cream;
In the quiet harmony of you,
Made the broken parts of me feel whole.
I smile when your fingers find my hand.
I smile when you lean a little near.
I smile when your lips meet mine.
I smile when your blush says what words cannot declare.
I have signed many papers in this life,
Names written, promises made, journeys begun;
But my most beautiful signature
Was written on 27th December
For my clasp of love….
