Mother of Suffering

"Love of the body

Is at the root of all suffering,"

Says the Indian yogi:

The Spirit Eternal,

That knows no God

Except He Himself;

He is present everywhere;

He is His own Supreme Master;

He denies the existence of God;

There is none outside Himself,

And He knew all this

After He had denied the existence

Of the bitch called the body,

The attachment to which had kept Him

Stranded in the earthly entanglements

Causing dualism---

Mother of all suffering.
