Mother Nature

I remember my Grandpa elaborating about their golden times.

When pollution wasn’t a concern,

And there weren’t any chemical emitting mines.

Landscapes filled with greenery,

And a variety of fishes that the freshwater ponds once behold...

Its a pity! For our new generation who aren’t lucky enough

To see our Nature shimmering like Gold.

Mother Nature is now getting depleted at an alarming rate,

The sun is blistering heat and global warming has become an ever-increasing threat.

Animals are dying, Trees are crying and the land is parched with thirst;

If we don’t take any action now!

Things will soon change from bad to worse..

Our ozone is getting depleted,

And mankind is facing tremendous hazards.

We cannot even maintain our Mother Nature’s beauty;

And we consider ourselves to be the greatest wizards!

Environmental degradation has now attained a peak.

Nature has been completely replaced by just concrete!

If not taken into consideration now,

It will soon face a major deplete!

It's high time now that we all work in unity,

Or soon we will end up losing our Earth’s purity.

It doesn’t have to be a lot if we just do our share,

So let’s take time out on this Earth Day to show Mother Nature that we care.
