I knew you were unwell,

I knew you were in pain.

You didn't wave me goodbye,

Because you never wanted my smile to wane.

You were there with me for so long

That I thought you will never leave,

All these years you have been so strong;

But then you left suddenly.

The day you left me,

Was the saddest of my life.

I remember sitting all alone,

Crying throughout the endless nights.

I might be selfish,

But I wanted you to stay.

God took you to a beautiful place,

But it's so far away!

I wish we could go back in time,

And relive all the memories we've made!

I'm ready to give anything away;

Just to hold your hand again and hear you calling out my name.

I know you love me,

And I love you too.

I'm trying to be strong;

Just for you.

All I want you to know,

Is that you will always be in my heart and mind.

Though I can't see you anymore;

I know we'll never be apart for a lifetime.
