Monsoon in Bengal. (A Sonnet poem)

Scared sky is wrapped by fleecy clouds.

Dark allover, dusk or dawn, is it Illusions?

lightening's sudden flashes, ethereal fear. 

Heart trembles, as the clouds thunder.

Where is our raincoat? Come, let us find. 

Aunt will go to farm with the shepherd.

Go Manu, put a stool in the yard, instant. 

Request Pawandev, to sit quietly, take rest.

Drizzle, drip drip, pitter patter, drops of rain, 

Down from the straw roof, streams of rain.

Peacocks dance, with their wailing sounds. 

Quietly return to their nests, all the birds.

The gentle winds, bring news from afar, 

Ants, disguised as fairies, flies everywhere.
