Tireless whole day farmers toil on the field,                         

Arduously work to ensure there is enough yield,

Farming is a laborious process,         

For which every single drop matters, 

The onset of monsoon,              

For farmers indeed is a boon,         

In wet and hot conditions Kharif crops are grown,                       

Which includes rice, maize, bajra & corn, 

Rainfall sets agricultural activities in motion,                             

In India monsoon is welcomed with celebration,                   

Monsoon brings hope and happiness for a farmer,                        

Seeds springing up as greens is magical altogether,                    

A tropical country with limited irrigation facilities,                            

The fate of Kharif crops depends on the monsoon especially,            

Monsoon rains are critical,            

As farmers depend on it for their income & survival,                            

A good monsoon brings economic prosperity,                       

Thereby boosts the Indian economy.
