Moments
Moments
The Moments as they glide by knocking at our door,
Each brings potential opportunities for us to explore,
If ignored we can never retrieve what we’ve missed,
Or partake of the benevolence it had kindly unleashed.
The moments are ticking by, in no time they are past,
They are gone forever- for alas moments cannot last.
They’re swallowed up in the swirling whirlpool of time;
Lost if squandered, foregoing of possibilities sublime.
If used of at the right moment our future we can command;
Grabbed at the nick of time, we can even stay death’s hand.
When we negligently or indifferently let the moments pass
We're losing on investments that no treasure can surpass.
