Modern Minds?

Modern we are

And modern is our living

Modern our fashion'

But is modern our minds?

Still when someone says periods

Hush! Said by people'

Don't you know it's private?

Is the question we ask. 

Embarrassed we are 

When one asks for a sanitary napkin

Hidden in pockets we transfer 

Is the behavior we ask?

Weird we are'

When to explain menstruation,

Adult term it is, don't you ask anyone,

Is what they ask.

Impure we are'

When it bleeds,

But how is the child born pure?

Is the question I ask.  

She who bears every pain,

Go through every problem,

With a smile but no sign of pain,

It is a symbol of power and strength.

What she asks, Is just to be normal,

The process which gives you birth,

Why is it still so hidden and harsh?

Is the question I ask.

Modern we are,

But are our minds modern?

Is the question is asked,
