Are you a mirage? For I see but can't reach you

Are you my own shadow? I'm scared of the dark but that's when I lose you

Are you a gasp? That I can't hold on to for too long?

Are you that teardrop? That was meant to roll down my eye


I long to become one with this delusion and have my sunshiny nightfall

Breathe free without having to hold on and emote profligately only because

…Every breath I take is you…

….And every tear I drop needn't be in woe
