Middle age
Middle age
Middle age, a time of change
Where youth begins to rearrange,
Grey hairs sprout and wrinkles appear,
And memories of youth become dear.
No longer do we seek to please
Or follow trends with eager ease,
Our priorities begin to shift,
And life takes on a different lift.
We find solace in simpler things
Like the sound of birds on their wings,
Or the warmth of the sun on our face,
As we slow down and find our pace.
Though our bodies may begin to ache
Our spirits we shall not forsake,
For middle age is a time to grow,
And find new ways to let our light show.
So let us embrace this stage of life
With all its joys and all its strife,
For in the middle of our age,
We find a newfound sense of sage.
