Raindrops are falling on my head,
Making me child once again,
Sending me back to my childhood,
Away from grief and pain.
Back to the warmth of my mother's hug,
And grip of my father's fingers,
I felt safe from the outer world,
And wanted that moment to linger.
Playing all day in the sun,
And running like insane,
Doing crazy stuff with friends,
And getting punished together.
Starting talks with no ends,
And fighting with one another,
Those rattle of the piggy bank,
And only earning with gain.
Nothing today can match,
Those treasures of childhood,
Today's life is just a catch,
We got into hoping for good.
Raindrops are falling on my head,
Making me child once again,
Hiding my tears and sorrow,
In the droplets of rain...
