Mediocrity
Mediocrity
I’m at the end of my tether
Neither have I reason nor will
To live
Like another headless zombie
With deadlights for eyes
Floating in a wisp of black smoke.
Mediocrity
Is a sickness plaguing this world
Because we’ve forgotten who we are
Someone.
We haven’t learned how to fight
For survival like the generations before us
We had the world waiting for us with
Open arms and laughter
As if our birth itself meant
Hope.
You see the trouble with being born is
You never understand why you’re here in the
First place.
