Before The Year End

2020 is a tough year for all of us

Where the new normal is wearing face shields and masks

Because the virus seems difficult to handle

It spread quickly as we mumble. 

Anxiety and depression eats us from inside as well

Our hidden fears

And silent tears

Starts crawling out but no one could tell

At least this year, a lot of people are now aware

That anxiety and depression are real

So watch those words coming out from your mouth

Hold your fingers before typing to post on your social media accounts 

Let this be a warning, please beware

You'll never know how words can cut deep

And can cost a life. 

2021, here we come. 

They say it is a year of letting go. 

Let go of the pain of the past. 

Let go of people who had hurt you

May it be a family, friends, or foe. 

Let go of the guilt you kept inside

That makes you quiver and hide. 

Let go where destiny will guide you

Don't fight the tides 

Instead, let yourself be drifted 

Be calm

And lay your trust and hopes to him

And soon

A ray of light will brush your eyes

Open them and be relieved

You’re now in the place you wanted to be

The happiness you long deserved

No more sighs 

Just genuine smiles
