Materialistic Love
Materialistic Love
What a man is made of
It is not easy to understand
Though I tried to narrate
Very simple to correlate
I was wondering about
The title of my write-ups
Overwhelmingly while soaking
In the sun one winter
All of a sudden I jumped
To the arithmetic analogue
Meaning of the title
Which inadvertently
Made my stomach feel heavy
What the materialistic love would be
My eyes were filled with tears
It reminds me of my first and ex-love
My mind was numb and
My heart was hollow
I was unable to breathe
The way my love did love to me
It was purely materialistic
Oh my god I just calculated
Which gave me great losses
Around I figured to the tune
Of eight zeros and plus
I hung my hands
In helplessness
One day and the next day
She disappeared in the dark
Like there was no one
Who were in love someday
Like moon and poetry
Like a mother and her child
Like god Krishna and Radha
What a man is made of
It is not easy to understand
Though I tried to narrate
Very simple to correlate
