Magic Wand

If I had supernatural powers...

*There would be no dearth of food

*No child would go hungry to bed

*No child denied education 

*No child made to work while others played

If I had a magic wand...

*I'd fly to the war-torn zones

*Comfort those who have lost homes

*Welcome them to a new land they can own

*Wipe out their sorrows 

If I was gifted with words...

*I'd write poetry to soothe hearts

*Write about the injustices 

*To shake up those in power and position

*Make them regret their misdeeds

But I am handicapped 

With no clear road map

Endowed with no special gifts

All I can do is but dream for

A better world when I leave
