Love letter to headphones

Love letter to headphones

Dear headphones,

It has been a long journey

And a great one

It had all started when my Dad gifted me a walkman;

Oh yes, I'm a 90s kid and I'm proud

Proud to have my favourite songs

Recorded in a casette

And then I had an iPod

It was pretty cool

As it used to fit in my palm

And then the picture changed

When I got a phone with an earphone jack

I then realized there was a different world

A world out in peace, away from all chaos

A world wherein there's me and my mind

And what's there on my mind

Are going into my ears

And my heart,

Sometimes ripping it apart,

Sometimes healing it

Did I tell you that you protected me from cold?

And from the people whom I didn't want to talk to?

Can I please tell you that I'm not alone only because of you,

Can I please tell you how much I love you?
