Love Is Love

Sometimes love is a challenge,

It clings onto the neck of your heart,

Tries to suck you dry till you lame the brute and tie it up.

Some relationships take up so much of your emotional energy,

You hold them close to your chest as an accomplishment,

As a reminder that love sometimes is wild and ravenous and demanding and crazy.

But love is love. And it is worth all the battle scars.
