We often forget, friendships see it through.

Long distance friendships, missing me and you.

Forty minutes fly, like falling leaves,

We grasp each second, as our hearts retrieve.

The voice, a solace, a comforting sound,

In silence, we miss it, all around.

To ensure we share, every laugh and tear,

I jot down points, to calm our fear.

So i don't miss, a single thing,

In our precious calls, our hearts keep singing.

Though far apart, our connection stays,

Through written notes, and endless days.
