Like A Bird
Like A Bird
Like a bird,
trapped in a cage.
Like a bird,
for ages.
Bars of silver and gold,
but her story was never really told.
Bond of love, she thought it was advantage that he take of her.
Like a bird,
she fluttered her wings.
In aspiration to try everything like a bird,
she wanted to fly.
She could not but still tried.
I feel for her as she is close,
But circumstances were such,
I cannot show.
Like a bird,
she's now free.
Can do nothing, so she sits on the tree.
Her wings are tired from fluttering on,
has too much to carry on.
Like a bird,
she cries her song.
Like a bird she will not stop,
and climb to the top.
Her wings would be worn out,
but at least,
like a bird,
she would have lived on.
